Project 26: {week 18} struggle | Danville CA Child, Family & Senior Photographer

This weeks project 26 theme is struggle.

I can’t think of a better theme for this time of year when so many of us are struggling with all the new schedules in our lives. School schedules, sports schedules, car pool schedules, getting old (didn’t want it on my schedule), morning and nightly routines – all they are causing us are aches and pains, moans and groans.

I actually almost bailed out of this post because I’m struggling through so many things right now I am a bit overwhelmed.  How would I ever choose which struggle to struggle with?  That was a huge obastacle in itself and frankly, I am tired of struggling.

I decided to do the morning routine struggle because no one in my house is moving as fast as they need to be.  With Carl in Amsterdam for business, there is only one person trying to get 3 sluggish kids out of bed.  Give me a month and this morning routine will be a piece of cake but my family is still stuck in the summer sleep in routine here on the second day of school.  Usually, my best friend Lola (the dog) and I have this great routine.  I wake  the kids one by one and she follows in after me and licks each kids face until they get up.  It works every time.  I don’t even have to go back  in their rooms because Lola is so reliable. Until today.  I am still struggling with her morning betrayal.icon smile Project 26: {week 18} struggle | Danville CA Child, Family & Senior Photographer
