The Grateful Project is important because when you stop and look around this life is pretty amazing.  The hard part is stopping, absorbing and appreciating it all.  Life and our minds can get really cluttered with unimportant things.  This project makes you look for the good moments in your days.  I like that.  So fill your heart with what’s important and be done with all the rest.

Please join my circle of photography friends to see what they are grateful for this month.  Next up is Jessica Holden.  I hope at the end of your day you too will find gratefulness.

I am grateful for having a daughter that has the guts to go volunteer in Paraguay all summer long. Here she is in the middle of Oakland for one of their all day retreats. This program is intensive but I am sure she will have an amazing experience this summer.

am grateful to have friends near and far that support us. This letter just shows that when you do good things good will come back to you. Thank you to all that donated.

I am grateful to cousin Matthew for how he treats Grant. Matthew is a junior in high school and Grant is in 6th grade but you would never know that there was such an age gap because Matthew treats him as if they were the same age, as if they were peers. He has always been so good to Grant and I will forever be grateful to Matthew for showing Grant what "good" looks like.

It’s one thing to experience it as a mom, but it’s another to be trusted with that moment as visitor.  It was a gift I will forever be grateful for, it reminds me of the power of a new life, the adrenaline rush of birth, and how amazing it is when everyone in the room falls madly in love with someone we just met.  It was an absolutely incredible day and I want to thank Jen and Matt for trusting me to document their experience.  I hope these pictures tell Sawyer’s tale of  life, acceptance and love.
